Nausea After Surgery Protocol

“I just recently had sinus surgery. I’ve never had surgery before, unless you count the removal of my wisdom teeth. I had about 3 weeks after my catscan to stew and stress about my surgery and I did, a lot. The horror stories from every friend about what to expect didn’t help either. One of those horrors was about the nausea most get from anesthesia. Some even said it was worse than the pain. Since my sister was one of those who got severely nauseated after every surgery she has had, I was sure I was going to as well. So I was thrilled when I saw the Nausea After Surgery Protocol. But I will be honest, I was a little worried the oils wouldn’t work. And even though I don’t like to take medications, I was prepared to take whatever I could to help the nausea if the oils

Creating Your Own Protocol

“The process of writing a natural health protocol is both fun and simple. Knowing that your protocol is going to be used to help others experience better health is such an inspiration! Once you have decided which natural remedy you wish to write and collect your data through the extensive (and free) database that Protocoled.com provides access to, you just plug in the information into the predesigned template. The next step is to let others know about your protocol so that you can test the effectiveness of your anecdote. If you are interested in demonstrating that natural remedies can compete with pharmaceuticals and bringing effective alternative methods that don’t have the harmful side effects that modern medicine has, I highly recommend developing your own natural health protocol through Protocoled.com.

Protocoled help me regain confidence in essential oils.

“I am a newbie to doTerra and already had this issue after the initial usage of the oils. I have had this itchiness in my left ear for so many years, and since I suspected that this could be fungus so I applied OnGard on back of my left ear. Immediately I got major irritation inside and outside of my ear.  The skin is festered and there is a big bump kind thing in my ear that hurts when I touch it. I was told that I am sensitive to this oil so stop using it for a while and let it heal first.  Dr. Yorgason told me to first applying the lavender diluted with coconut oil, and then if this is ok, try also adding the melaleuca also diluted.  I applied melaleuca with coconut oil to back of my left ear as he suggested and this morning it is already

And even though I don’t like to take medications, I was prepared to take whatever I could to help the nausea if the oils didn’t work.

But, guess what? They worked!

I went to the hospital with my little bottles of Ginger, Peppermint, and Wild Orange. Wild Orange isn’t in the protocol, but I added it for my anxiety. The nurses and the doctors were very understanding and willing to let me use the oils too.

Right before the surgery, while in the prep room or whatever that little area is, I put a drop of Ginger on one palm and a drop of Peppermint on the other. I inhaled that in deeply as often as I could until I was literally out. Part of the protocol is to swab the inside of the oxygen mask with the oils in post-op. I was too out of it to do that, but the second I was awake and coherent, I put another drop of Ginger and Peppermint on my palms and inhaled until I left the hospital.

I had absolutely no nausea all the first day of the surgery. By that night, however, I started to feel a little dizzy, so I immediately applied the oils again and inhaled until the dizziness went away. And that was it. I didn’t have to use the oils again. No nausea whatsoever. Amazing!

And yes, it was a little difficult to inhale the oils after the surgery, with the gauze over my nose, but I did my best and obviously it still worked. I will be referring everyone I know to this protocol.”

I am happy that I didn’t give up on the oils.  And I am even happier that there is a website that I can turn to when I run into a problem like this.  How comforting is that!”
